 New DocASSURE™ Information Security Program
Enables Hospitals to Easily Address HIPAA Compliance
DURHAM, NC – December 2, 2004 -- Active Data Services, Inc today announced an agreement
with Jacob & Sundstrom, Inc. that will make DocASSURE™, a new health information security program,
available for the first time. DocASSURE is a comprehensive, Web-based software program designed to help hospitals
and healthcare organizations of all sizes easily and affordably comply with the HIPAA security standards and manage
IT risk.
With the April 2005 HIPAA Security compliance deadline looming, hospitals need to assess the IT risk
for their patient records system now to meet regulatory requirements, reduce liability, protect patient records,
and monitor information security on an ongoing basis. DocASSURE is particularly well-suited to small, rural and
critical access hospitals, since the program is cost-effective, simple to implement, and comes with expert
technical support.

Healthcare Information and Communications Alliance, Inc. (NCHICA). NCHICA is a nonprofit consortium of over
250 organizations dedicated to improving healthcare by accelerating the adoption of information technology.
The DocASSURE program builds on NCHICA's HIPAA EarlyView™ gap analysis software by providing users with security
management tools, training, and ongoing technical support needed for practices of all sizes.
