 Active Data Services, Inc. contracted by Lexington Medical Center
Morrisville, NC – November 12, 2007 -- Peter Ransome, executive vice president and CMO for Active Data Services, Inc., a business process outsourcing firm that captures, manages and outputs information for healthcare organizations, has announced that the firm has been contracted by Lexington Medical Center, a 346-bed metropolitan medical complex which anchors a comprehensive, county-wide health-care network in South Carolina. Under this contract, Active Data Services, Inc. will support the conversion of paper patient charts into electronic media to be distributed to authorized providers or deliver information to patients. Active Data Services, Inc. will work with Lexington Medical Center to meet their ongoing need to convert day-forward information for new patients, as well as collaborate with the hospital on a continuous basis to make improvements in the system and utilize advancements in communication. This conversion to electronic health records will increase effectiveness, timeliness and convenience for all patient records, as well as enhance the security of all records. The resulting impact will be improved operational efficiencies resulting in lower costs and enhanced patient care and privacy.
