Business Process Outsourcing Firm Partners with Healthcare Software Leader to provide Electronic Health Record Conversion Services

Morrisville, NC – May 5, 2007 -- Active Data Services, Inc., a business process outsourcing firm, has announced a strategic agreement with Allscripts, the leading provider of clinical software, connectivity and information solutions that physicians use to improve healthcare. Under the terms of the agreement, Active Data Services will provide medical records scanning, administrative file scanning, transactional print and mail services, legacy system data conversion, and data conversion consulting services for Allscripts clients. This converted data can be integrated into Allscripts clinical solutions, including Electronic Health Records, to increase effectiveness and convenience for healthcare organizations. This conversion to a digital office from a paper-based office allows healthcare organizations to experience immediate cost savings by eliminating chart supply costs, lost data, and converting storage space into revenue-producing square footage.

“Electronic medical records are the next major operational step for healthcare organizations, and Allscripts is the leading provider of software to facilitate this operational change,” said Peter Ransome, Executive Vice President and CMO of Active Data Services. “We are honored to be working with them to help organizations convert existing records for integration into to a digital office so they can begin to realize the increased efficiency and reduced costs that comes as a result of this change.”

"Allscripts is excited to add Active Data Services to our nationwide network of document conversion centers to help physician practices enter the electronic healthcare highway," said Joe Luber, Director of Product Development at Allscripts. "Active Data has successfully prepared millions of paper charts for our Electronic Health Record solutions and their expertise adds real value to our capabilities."
